I’m just one of those guys who never seems to have any luck with respect to buying gifts for the sons and daughters of my family and friends. Last month I got my niece several different items from the Splendid Littles clothing line, but apparently I picked out every single thing that she wouldn’t have worn. She was even really sweet, and made a big show about saying how her uncle picked out her favorite brand of stuff. But later she told my sister to make sure that I had the receipt. I told her that I would return the stuff myself, and that I would get her something from the new Appaman line.

My niece said that this would probably work out well, so she told me to go ahead and pick some stuff out. But then I suggested to her that it would be better if I took her shopping, so she could get exactly what she wanted. She said that this was pure genius, but as soon as we got to the store she started to change her mind. She couldn’t decide between getting something from the new Imps & Elfs line or if she should get some toys. So being the cool uncle that I am, I said that she could get one of each.
